Project goals and objectives:
The CRAVT project seeks to strengthen VET capacities in Moldova and Ukraine in the crafts sector for sustainable community-based economic opportunities. It will develop innovative curriculum and training materials on craft entrepreneurship and digital skills integration, tailored for VET providers, that will foster economic opportunities and social resilience in disadvantaged areas of the two countries. Given that traditional crafts involve environmentally friendly production processes and efficient resource management in connection with the Sustainable Development Goals, CRAVT supports meeting ecological commitments and the EU Green Agenda. It will also promote inclusivity and economic resilience by supporting underprivileged communities and Ukrainian refugees in Moldova and Romania to develop sustainable craft-based livelihoods. Furthermore, it will enhance cross-border collaboration and specialized knowledge exchange between VET institutions, research centers, SMEs, and NGOs from EU countries and the Eastern Neighborhood (Romania, Spain, Portugal, Moldova, and Ukraine).
Specific project objectives:
- SO1: Enhance the knowledge base related to sustainable crafts as intangible cultural heritage in Moldova and Ukraine
- SO2: Enhance learning opportunities in VET for sustainable crafts and community-based entrepreneurship in Moldova and Ukraine
- SO3: Build capacities of VET trainers in the field of sustainable crafts and community-based entrepreneurship in Moldova and Ukraine
- SO4: Raise awareness on intangible cultural heritage safeguarding and the socio-cultural roles of craft-based economies.
