The CRAVT journey began
Back in January, the CRAVT journey began in Iași
The project’s kick-off meeting brought the CRAVT partners together at the headquarters of the Academia Română, Filiala Iași . It marked the start of a cross-border collaboration between organisations from Romania , Spain , Portugal , Moldova and Ukraine
Over two days, partners shaped a shared vision to support #CraftEducation, safeguard community-based #IntangibleCulturalHeritage and connect traditional knowledge with digital and entrepreneurial skills
The meeting also took us beyond the conference room and into the Hârlău region, where we met local artisans, including mask-makers and cobza creators. These encounters were a powerful reminder that craft practices are not just skills or objects, but knowledge transmitted through people, communities and places.
With energy, trust and a strong sense of purpose, the #CRAVTProject began weaving support for craft communities, rural women, Ukrainian refugees, VET educators and heritage actors, helping them to build more resilient livelihoods through the knowledge of the hands.
